Professional Development Passport Program

The Professional Development Passport Program is a required, incentive-based program for all business students in the Kania School of Management. Rooted in the Jesuit tradition of educating the whole person, the program complements students' academic work with seminars, workshops, and networking events led by alumni, business professionals, staff, and faculty.

Students build practical career skills in areas such as resume writing, interviewing, job search strategy, LinkedIn and social media presence, and professional networking. The program guides students through four progressive stages: Awareness, Skill Development, Action Planning, and Implementation/Transition, giving them a clear path and a competitive edge as they prepare for internships and careers.

Program Benefits

Every participant gains access to professional networking events, career fairs, executive presentations, internship opportunities, and experiential learning such as study abroad and service trips. As students advance, they earn recognition for their achievements:

Basic Module: Fulfills the KSOM graduation requirement
Intermediate Module: Earns a Kania Pin
Advanced Module: Earns a Graduation Cord, worn at Commencement

These stages build progressively as students advance through the Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Modules.

Program Requirements

All KSOM students must complete the Basic Module to graduate. Students are responsible for tracking their progress and completing the required events.

  • Check in at every event. Bring your student ID to be scanned so your attendance is recorded on the PRO Site.
  • Off-campus events may count. Seminars, conferences, and events outside the University may substitute for a required Passport event. Submit a Passport Event Approval Request Form to Tamara Bautista before the event for approval.
  • Track your progress on the PRO Site. All Passport events and requirements are tracked on the PRO Site at pro.ksom.scranton.edu.
